Amy’s Indian Palak Paneer Review

It’s difficult to believe that this dish only has 300 calories. It’s flavorful and satisfying. The box describes it like this: “The most popular of all Indian dishes is Palak Paneer. In developing this meal for Amy’s, we tried many recipes, and our favorite was given to us by friends who came to America from the Punjab region of Northern India. The smooth, creamy palak paneer, made from organic spinach and soft Indian cheese, is lightly spiced with authentic Indian herbs and spices that are carefully roasted by hand. Rajmah dal, made from organ red kidney beans in a ginger-garlic sauce, and tender organic basmatic rice complete this delicious meal.”

Sometimes Amy’s frozen food is mildly spiced, but this one tastes authentic. I microwaved it because I was in a hurry, but it would probably taste even better in the oven.

This is a great product for vegetarians because the ingredients are organic and contain no animal enzymes or rennet. It’s also made without GMOs. The ingredients include basmati rice, spinach, onions, paneer cheese, vinegar, kidney beans, tomato puree, safflower and/or sunflower oil, garlic, ginger, salt, turmeric, jalapeno peppers, cornstarch, black pepper, and more.

I’d definitely get this one again.
