If there is a Hall of Fame for vegetarian food products, MorningStar’s Bacon Strips is in it. I always have at least one box in my freezer, and I’ve been eating and enjoying this product for many years.
There are people who swear by the skillet method, but I microwave four strips for two minutes and have been delighted with the finished product.I do need to warn you, though, that there is nothing hotter than a ‘bacon plate.’ I’m not sure why, but you’ll need to wait for the plate to cool after microwaving.
This is a versatile, low calorie (four strips = 120 calories) food. I eat it plain, with eggs, crumble it into soups and on top of pasta, and use it for sandwiches.
The only negative thing I can say against it is that the ingredients include some sketchy items. Still, this is a winner.
Five stars out of five.
